New King Street Apartments On the Way!

Have you ever been driving up and down King Street this year and wondered what the construction is at the corner of King and South Champlain? Well...wait no longer!

Burlington Housing Authority (BHA) plans for a new affordable housing complex, on the corner of South Champlain and King Street, are currently underway. The project began in the Fall of 2012, with the demolition of the former Homeport warehouse, and is projected to conclude by the end of June 2013.

Current renovation of existing two-unit brick structure, along with the addition of a new 14 residential unit, would add a grand total of 16 units (15-one bedroom and 1-two bedroom units) to the King Street area. Click on the following link to view more details on the King Street apartments; as submited by the Burlington Department of Planning and Zoning.
